This joint IATA–UPU webinar – the first to be organized in cooperation with ICAO – will focus on enhancing airmail security. It is the first of two webinars planned for 2025 on the topic of enhancing safety and security. By exploring current trends and future directions in the postal and aviation areas, this webinar will address the roles and regulations of each organization, the challenges of integrating postal and cargo systems, and the importance of collaboration among the postal, aviation and law enforcement sectors. Key topics will include the latest regulations, compliance requirements, strategies for handling dangerous goods and efforts in combating criminal activities in the postal system, with the goal of ensuring compliance and minimizing risks in the postal supply chain.
